II. Selected Features of the System

1. Fault Location: Fault location is the primary purpose of high-voltage cable and hidden hazard monitoring devices. It enables the identification of the faulty section and the exact fault location, and provides a wealth of waveform data for fault analysis;

2. Analysis of fault types: After a fault occurs, by analyzing the current transients and power-frequency fault current waveforms of phases A, B, and C, the fault type is identified, providing a reference for line maintenance;

3. Early warning of potential faults: By monitoring faint traveling waves in high-voltage cable lines, the system provides early warnings for cables with potential issues, allowing for timely maintenance and preventing circuit-breaker tripping faults;

4. Equipment Self-Test: a) The system must be capable of performing scheduled self-tests on its major components and must actively trigger an alarm in the event of an anomaly; b) The system must have an automatic reset and recovery function to address potential system crashes.

5. Collection of terminal status information: Collect and analyze status information such as terminal solar or CT voltage, battery status, temperature, GPS status, and GPRS signal strength;

6. Advanced technology: Distributed installation reduces monitoring distances and resolves signal attenuation issues. Dual-end distance measurement enables precise fault location;

7. Powerful Signal Acquisition Unit: The high-voltage cable monitoring device features a multi-channel architecture with a single main unit. It can simultaneously acquire 7 high-frequency signals (3 high-frequency current traveling waves, 3 latent current traveling waves, and 1 voltage traveling wave) and 8 low-frequency signals (3 power-frequency currents, 4 ground loop currents, and 1 voltage). This powerful signal acquisition unit ensures reliable fault waveform recording;

8. Adaptive travel wave velocity: The system automatically adjusts the travel wave velocity based on fault data, resulting in more accurate location;

9. High-precision synchronized sampling: By utilizing a GPS-based timing system and a high-precision sampling synchronization algorithm, the system significantly reduces sampling synchronization errors and improves ranging accuracy.
