During the construction and operation of power transmission lines, various emergencies—such as naturally occurring phenomena like winter rain, ice and snow, high temperatures, and strong winds, as well as unforeseeable events like earthquakes and typhoons—pose a significant threat to the normal operation of the power grid. Since power transmission towers are widely dispersed and typically located in remote or inaccessible areas with limited human traffic, relying on manual patrols or traditional monitoring methods is difficult, inefficient, and costly. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a convenient and efficient online monitoring system to promptly identify potential hazards during power transmission and ensure the normal operation of transmission lines. Dingxin Smart Technology’s DX-WPS100-SP3 Transmission Line Video Online Monitoring Device (Integrated PTZ Camera) captures image and video data via a front-end PTZ camera and transmits the data to the monitoring center via 4G/5G networks. Management personnel can view the data in real time to prevent unnecessary line failures caused by safety hazards such as external damage, encroachments, overhanging trees, and vehicle collisions.
