Installation Project: Online Monitoring Device for Cable Sheath Loop Current Equipment Installation Case Study

This device is specifically designed to monitor the insulation condition of cable sheaths. It uses high-precision current sensors to collect real-time data on ground loop currents in the metal sheath and, by combining this data with parameters such as cable load and sheath voltage, intelligently analyzes trends in ground loop current changes. When an abnormal increase or imbalance in the ground loop current is detected, the system issues a timely warning, effectively identifying potential hazards such as sheath damage or poor grounding, and preventing single-phase-to-ground faults in the cable. The device can transmit data remotely and generate diagnostic reports, providing a scientific basis for condition-based maintenance of cables, reducing operation and maintenance costs, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of high-voltage cable lines.
