On the morning of November 26, 2025, the streets of Inner Mongolia were still shrouded in biting cold, with the thermometer needle frozen at 0°C. The installation team had already arrived along the cable trenches in the city's core district, carrying the DX-DLS100-B2 anti-vandal ground anchors (also known as smart ground anchors). This marked the imminent deployment of a new generation of "intelligent sentinels" to safeguard the underground cables.

Inner Mongolia's winters are long and bitterly cold. Underground cables must withstand not only low-temperature corrosion but also external damage from municipal construction and heavy vehicle碾压. Traditional warning posts are prone to freezing and cracking, and their delayed warning capabilities have long plagued maintenance operations. Engineer Sun, the on-site supervisor, explained while inspecting the equipment, "The smart ground anchors installed this time are specifically designed for high-cold environments. They can operate stably in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C, perfectly suited to Inner Mongolia's climate characteristics."

Installation begins with precise positioning. The team references underground cable routing diagrams to mark each installation point on the road surface. These points are located directly above the cables, ensuring the ground anchors can monitor abnormal vibrations within a radius of over ten meters. Beyond vibration sensors, the DX-DLS100-B2 smart ground stake integrates a core gyroscope sensor. Combined with software algorithms to control false alarms, it employs the Apriori algorithm to identify vibration pattern rules and the K-Means clustering algorithm to match vibration data against preset models. This collaborative approach determines security threats and triggers alerts. To further enhance alarm accuracy and prevent false alarms triggered by non-destructive activities, the smart ground stake incorporates a dual-assurance mechanism of "algorithm analysis + platform linkage." The device enables automatic remote parameter configuration with the backend management platform. Operations personnel can dynamically adjust critical parameters—such as algorithm thresholds and vibration detection ranges—via the platform based on actual field scenarios (e.g., urban thoroughfares, construction zones, residential areas). This collaborative model of "front-end intelligent analysis + back-end flexible configuration" filters out false alarms caused by non-destructive vibrations like normal vehicle traffic and pedestrian activity, significantly reducing unnecessary operational costs.

Next comes the drilling operation, with specific requirements for both hole diameter and depth. The depth must precisely cover the main body of the ground spike, ensuring stability without obstructing vehicle traffic. The installation phase is even more critical. The smart ground spike features an embedded design, requiring workers to ensure the unit sits flush with the road surface before filling the gaps with cement mortar and sealing the joints. "This ground stake boasts an IP66 protection rating, withstanding rain, snow immersion, and road surface pressure. Combined with the mortar seal, it prevents water ingress and sensor damage even during winter freeze-thaw cycles," explained Engineer Sun as he crouched down, smoothing the mortar with a trowel to ensure seamless integration with the pavement.

After installation, debugging commenced immediately. Technicians tested each function sequentially: power switching between the solar panel and the 3000mAh removable battery operated normally; the NB-IoT wireless communication signal remained stable; sensors captured vibration signals from simulated construction while automatically filtering out normal vibrations from passing vehicles and pedestrians. "Look," Engineer Sun pointed to the monitoring interface on his phone screen, "once an anomaly is detected, not only does the backend receive an alert, but the ground stake's location turns from green to red. Simultaneously, warning lights activate on-site—this dual-layer protection is more reliable."

This installation not only validated the reliability of Dingxin Smart Technology's DX-DLS100-B2 Smart Ground Stake in low-temperature environments but also signifies that local underground cables will now receive round-the-clock, comprehensive security protection. With the smart ground stake in place, any activities that could potentially damage cables—whether construction excavation, abnormal impacts, or other incidents—will be immediately detected and flagged by the stake!
