Traditional warning posts marked “High Voltage—Danger” are placed along the roadside to alert those who pay attention, but they can’t stop those who don’t see them or don’t care. When incidents like cables being severed actually occur, people often don’t find out until after the fact.
Dinsee Smart’s DX-DLS100-B1 Smart Marker Post has a straightforward goal: to transform the marker post from a mere sign into an on-site monitoring station that can see, recognize, and issue alerts. It integrates a four-camera panoramic view, starlight night vision, on-device analysis, and ultra-low power consumption into a single post. Installed underground, it draws power passively and transmits data wirelessly—mounted along cable routes, it can monitor the surrounding environment around the clock without the need for power cables or wiring.

1. Four shots, a complete view in one go
A single lens always has blind spots. The smart signpost uses four independent optical lenses arranged in the four cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west. This four-lens-in-one design provides the signpost with a complete 360° panoramic view, capturing the entire area surrounding the installation point. It outputs high-definition images with a resolution of at least 2 million pixels and supports front-end video and image storage, as well as resume-on-resume data transmission in the event of a network outage.
2. You can take color photos even at night
Virtually all outdoor surveillance systems struggle most at night, but smart signposts solve this problem with starlight-level low-light algorithms, operating at a minimum illuminance of just 0.001 lux and still producing color images even in very dim lighting conditions. In rural areas without streetlights or in fields under moonlight, you can clearly see if there are people or vehicles on-site without the need for additional lighting. This is particularly crucial for cable lines. Many construction projects are rushed to meet deadlines, with excavation work continuing through the night; by the time workers return at daybreak, the trenches have already been dug.
3. Supports front-end recognition
Simply transmitting the footage back would be too simplistic. The smart signpost performs intelligent analysis at the front end, using deep learning algorithms to automatically detect and identify flames, excavators, pile drivers, bulldozers, dump trucks, cranes, and other equipment at the front end, and automatically triggers an alarm when any of these are detected.
4. If you spot something, shout out first.
Upon detecting a potential hazard, the smart marker post triggers an on-site audible warning and also supports remote, real-time voice announcements. In such emergency situations, back-office staff can directly shout instructions from their offices to stop dangerous behavior, such as, “There are underground cables here—excavation is strictly prohibited. Please leave immediately!” In fact, much of the damage caused by external forces is unintentional, and many construction workers cannot determine in real time whether there are cables underground. The combination of audible warnings and manual announcements often stops workers before they dig any deeper, which is far more effective than assigning blame after damage has occurred.
5. Solar-powered; once installed outdoors, it requires no maintenance.
There are many areas along the cable route without access to the municipal power grid. The smart marker posts are powered by solar panels and batteries; one panel is located on the top and another on the side of the post to ensure effective light collection regardless of the installation angle. The standby power consumption is 0.3W; the system maintains low-power operation in sleep mode and wakes up to record video when an anomaly is detected. The battery is removable, so there is no need to pull out the entire post when it needs to be replaced.
6. Installation is not dependent on the type of floor
The standard method involves convenient underground installation, where the pole is buried in the ground, ensuring stability without affecting the road surface. It is equally suitable for concrete and paved surfaces, covering virtually all common outdoor scenarios along cable routes. Visually, the front of the pole features warning labels such as “High Voltage—Danger” and a service hotline, serving as a warning just like traditional utility poles. The rest of the pole consists of solar panels and a camera; from a distance, it looks like a utility pole, but up close, you can see it’s hard at work.
Protecting cables from external damage is, at the end of the day, a race against time. The earlier the damage is detected, the less the loss. Dingxin Smart Technology has integrated proactive early-warning capabilities into every smart marker post—no need for personnel to stand guard or run wires; once installed, they start working immediately.
